1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. Readmember uses cookies and browser localStorage to make the service work and remember your preferences.
2. Cookies & Storage We Use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-* (Supabase) | Strictly necessary | Maintains your login session | Session / 1 week |
sidebar_state | Functional | Remembers sidebar open/closed preference | 7 days |
cookie_consent (localStorage) | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie consent choice | Until browser storage is cleared |
Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) | Analytics — future, requires consent | Measures usage patterns | 2 years / 24 hours |
PostHog (ph_*) | Analytics — future, requires consent | Product analytics | 1 year |
3. Your Choices
- Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled — they are required for the service to function.
- Functional cookies (sidebar state) can be disabled via your browser settings. The service still works, but your sidebar preference will not be remembered.
- Analytics cookies are not currently active. When they are added in the future, your explicit consent will be requested via our cookie consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Manage preferences” link in the banner or in the footer.
- Your consent choice is stored in
localStorage(not a cookie). Clearing your browser storage will reset your preference and the consent banner will appear again. - Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on prior consent.
4. Managing Cookies via Your Browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (Supabase session cookies) will prevent you from logging in to Readmember.
